Holiday Rental Larnaca, Cyprus
Staying in Cyprus
Many vacationers have heard of Cyprus but few know where it’s actually located. Lying in the Mediterranean Sea, surrounded by Turkey, Lebanon, Syria, Isreal, Egypt and Greece, it's no wonder the island is sometimes associated with the Middle East and other times with the Mediterranean and Greek Isles.
Cyprus is politically aligned with Europe and is friendly toward US visitors. English is widely understood and spoken in Cyprus. The northern part of the island country is mainly Turkish, the southern section is made up of primarily a Greek population.
Larnaca, a city in the southern (Greek) section of the islands, is home to Cyprus major airport. This alone makes it a lovely choice for vacationing. The town is large and the population of 72,000 find it spread out enough that it still has a "small town" feel.
Its beautiful beaches cover 16 miles and aren’t over-used like other area beaches are. If you tire of the beaches – though you won’t – you can take in one of the six museums, watch or play sports, enjoy the ocean activities, sea cruises and visit archaeological sites around the town. There are movie cinemas and theaters in addition to plenty of places to eat, drink and partake in some people watching.
Larnaca is ideally located as you can venture out for two hours or less in any direction and find another edge of the island. If a trip to Cyprus is in your future, move the town of Larnaca to the top of your list and begin looking for a great place to lay your head. There are plenty of luxurious villas, apartments and condo rentals to choose from.

What’s more, you often get use of a pool or spa, patio or bar-b-que area, garage or parking spot for your rental car. When you rent villas for your vacation you also receive the added bonus of privacy, as these are usually located within residential areas instead of the bustle of downtown.
