There are movie cinemas and theaters in addition to plenty of places to eat, drink and partake in some people watching.

Larnaca is ideally located as you can venture out for two hours or less in any direction and find another edge of the island. Some, but not all, of the apartments for rent in Larnaca are equipped with a dishwasher, microwave and laundry area. There are often additional deposits to use these features, however, so ask before you head to Cyprus to avoid surprises upon arrival.

Hostels are also available in Larnaca, if you’re on a very tight budget. They are usually available for less than $8 per bed per night. Hostels don’t usually permit men and women to sleep in the same room unless they rent a family room. Hostel reservations often need to be made many months in advance to secure a space.
